Legislation plays a critical role in protecting pain patients and the clinicians who care for them. APDF is committed to direct, boots-on-the-ground advocacy, engaging lawmakers through door-knocking, policy briefings, and strategic meetings in Washington, D.C. and at the state level.

In 2025 alone, our team attended 117 legislative meetings, building trusted relationships with congressmen, senators, governors, and their staff. We work closely with medical professionals to ensure laws reflect real-world patient needs, not stigma or misinformation. Current efforts include advancing bills such as Illinois HB 5373 and advocating for protections impacting implant patients and chronic pain care nationwide. APDF will not stop until pain patients receive the care they need.
